Community

The Linnton Community Center is the heart of an isolated community that gives a safe place to gather. We offer over 24 programs and services that touch the lives of over 25,000 people each year. Separated from Portland by a large industrial area, poor bus service further cuts residents and children off from services. Programs change with the times. Examples are preschool, full day child care, programs for children, seniors and adults,an after school program for school age children and a partnership with the Oregon food bank. We are the only organization in this area serving these needs. No one is turned away from the Linnton Community Center for lack of money. Families who otherwise would be on public assistance are able to hold jobs because fees for childcare are based on income. 

Even though we are a small organization we fill an essential need in this isolated community. We keep our children safe. We serve our elderly. Every human being counts. Thank you to all of the Sponsors and Individuals who have helped in and around this amazing golf event.
